Onsite Industry Press Conferences

In 2014, companies are again welcome to organise industry press conferences in the International Liver Congress™ press conference room at the ExCeL Convention Centre in London. Room bookings will be allocated on a first-come-first-served basis.

How to book a room?
Industry press conferences must not conflict with the official scientific programme or official EASL press conferences. Time slots will be for 1.5 hours (90 minutes), which must cover set up (branding, signage), the press conference or meeting itself, and any dismantling/clean up.

Specific time slots for industry press conferences are outlined in the booking form, which industry must complete and return to the EASL Press Office to secure a booking. Please refer to the contact details at the bottom of this page.

Room details
One room within ExCel’s London Suite named Press Conference Room will be available for press conferences. The room seats approximately 40 people.

A daily schedule listing all congress press conferences will be displayed in the International Liver Congress™ Press Office, located in the London Suite.

Booking confirmation
EASL will determine whether the proposed activity appears to meet EASL standards and requirements, and make every effort to notify the applicant via email within 10 business days if the event has been authorised.

Payment and cancellation details
Each slot costs €1400. A contract will be sent to companies by the congress organisers, Congrex, together with an invoice for 100% of the amount payable. Full payment must be received a week prior to the start of the congress (2 April 2014), otherwise the room booking will not be upheld and the slot allocated will be released.

The company may withdraw from the contract with The International Liver Congress™ by giving unilateral written notice to that effect under the following term of cancellation: in the case of cancellations made after 14 March February 2014, one hundred per cent (100%) of the total amount due shall be payable to the International Liver Congress™.

Agenda
Companies must provide EASL with a title, agenda and proposed speakers/chairs for their press conferences by 28 March 2014.

Catering
Companies wishing to provide refreshments during their press conference should contact sarah.cook@compass-group.co.uk. There will be an additional charge for any catering requirements.

Media registration
All journalists, industry and public relations professionals attending industry press conferences will need to register online and have full accreditation to attend the International Liver Congress™.
